Columbus Real Estate

Columbus, Ohio is the state capital and located in the middle of Ohio. Its population as of the 2000 census was more than 711,000, making it the largest city in Ohio. Columbus is home to a number of attractions and recreational amenities ranging from the Columbus Museum of Art, to the Big Darby Creek, Inniswood Metro Gardens, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, biking, Columbus Crew soccer games, Ohio State University football games, to the Ohio State Fair and several smaller fairs and festivals. The Ohio State University is located in Columbus, providing a large population of students and business revenue surrounding the campus.

Columbus is home to a number of suburbs, these include: Hilliard, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Westerville, New Albany, and Worthington. Columbus is easily accessible by land and air; most well known is the Port Columbus International Airport. Columbus is crossed by Interstate 70 and Interstate 71, and surrounded by 270. 

 

Delaware Real Estate

Delaware, Ohio is approximately 25 miles north of Columbus and is the county seat of Delaware County. Delaware had a little more than 25,000 residents as of the 2000 census. Delaware, Ohio is home to Ohio Wesleyan University, a nationally extolled liberal arts college. Delaware is also home to The Little Brown Jug, the second leg of the Triple Crown. Residents and visitors are able to enjoy Delaware’s downtown shopping pedestrian mall, the Delaware Commons, and a farmers market. Delaware residents are able to utilize the Delaware State Park and the Alum Creek State Park. Delaware is near Westerville, Dublin, Worthington, Marysville, Hilliard, Marion, Upper Arlington, Gahanna, Columbus, Bexley, Lincoln Village, Whitehall, Reynoldsburg, and Grove City.

 

Dublin Real Estate

Dublin, Ohio straddles three counties in Ohio: Franklin, Delaware, and Union County. Dublin has over 38,000 residents according to the 2000 census. Considering that Dublin had only 5,000 residents in the late 1980s, Dublin’s growth has made it one of the fastest growing cities in the state; Dublin’s growth spurt occurred with the help of Interstate 270 being constructed. Dublin is home to Wendy’s International and Ashland Inc.’s corporate headquarters. Dublin is known as a golf town and has several golf courses; each year Dublin hosts the Memorial Tournament, part of the PGA Tour. The Memorial Tournament is held at the Muirfield Village Golf Club, created by Jack Nicklaus. Muirfield Village Golf Club was named the 16th best golf course in the "America's 100 Greatest Courses" list by Golf Digest. Areas nearby Dublin include: Columbus, Worthington, Westerville, Upper Arlington, Plain City, Hilliard, and Delaware.

 

Gahanna Real Estate

Gahanna, Ohio is in Franklin County and outside of the Ohio state capital of Columbus. Gahanna has more than 32,000 residents according to the 2000 census. Gahanna’s children are serviced by the Gahanna-Jefferson Local Public School district. Gahanna is currently in the middle of a project geared towards the redevelopment of the downtown “Olde Gahanna” part of the city. This large-scale project includes the creation of a parking garage, restaurants, office spaces, and public areas. Nearby cities to Gahanna are Bexley, Dublin, Grandview Heights, Grove City, Hilliard, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, Upper Arlington, Westerville, Whitehall, and Worthington. 

 

Grove City Real Estate

Grove City, Ohio is a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and is part of Franklin County. Grove City has nearly 32,000 residents according to the 2000 census and is one of Columbus’s fastest growing suburbs. Grove City is home to the Gardens at Gantz Farm and hosts “the worlds largest alumni tournament” each summer, where more than five decades of Grove City graduates play softball. Grove City is also home to a nationally recognized marching band and a historic town center. Grove City is comprised of a number of neighborhoods: Concord Lakes, Creekside, Briarwood Hills, Hoover Crossing, Hoover Park, Robinette Meadows, Indian Trails, Keller Farms, Meadow Grove, Parkridge, Pinnacle, Quail Creek, Scioto Meadows, Westgrove, Willow Creek, and Ziner Farms. 

 

Hilliard Real Estate

Hilliard, Ohio is a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and part of Franklin County. Hilliard has approximately 24,000 residents according to the 2000 census. Hilliard is flanked by Upper Arlington, Dublin, Galloway, and Columbus. Hilliard is part of the Hilliard City School District, which has 14 elementary school, two sixth-grade schools, three middle schools and three high schools. Residents of Hilliard have access to two pools, a YMCA and many public sport fields and courts.

 

New Albany Real Estate

New Albany, Ohio is a village in the counties of Franklin and Licking and is just outside Columbus. Estimates from 2007 have New Albany's population at a little over 6,500 residents. New Albany is home to Les Wexner, who built the Limited brands including Abercrombie & Fitch; this development helped spur New Albany’s relatively recent growth spurt. New Albany has a history of supporting performing arts and is home to the New Albany Symphony Orchestra, the New Albany Ballet, and the McCoy Community Center of the Arts. New Albany also has a substantial Jewish population, which supports the Temple Beth Shalom, the Columbus Jewish Day School, the Chabad Center for a Jewish Tomorrow and a Jewish Community Center. New Albany has several subdivisions within its boundaries: Hampstead Green, Hampstead Heath, New Albany Links, Tidewater, Upper Clarenton, Windsor, Alban Mews, Albany Park, Ashberry Ridge, Brandon, Cedarbrook, Clivdon, Crescent, Edge of Woods, The Farms, Fenway, Hawksmoor, Lambton Park, Lansdowne, North Of Woods, Planter's Grove, the Reserve, Tensweep, Upper Brandon, and Waterston.

 

Pickerington Real Estate

Pickerington, Ohio is a suburb of Columbus and crosses both Fairfield County and Franklin County. According to 2008 estimates, approximately 17,500 people call Pickerington home. Pickerington is known as “The Purple City” and the “Violet Capital of Ohio." Pickerington is partly within Violet Township, named for a profusion of violets. Pickerington has several recreational venues serviced by the Parks and Recreation Department; these include the Swim Club, Pickeringon Ponds, Victory Park, and Sycamore Creek Park. Pickerington is near Canal Winchester, Columbus, and Reynoldsburg.

 

Reynoldsburg Real Estate

Reynoldsburg, Ohio is a suburb of Columbus and crosses three counties: Fairfield County, Franklin County, and Licking County. Reynoldsburg has slightly over 32,000 residents according to the 2000 census. Reynoldsburg holds an annual Tomato Festival and is known as “The Birthplace of the Tomato,” and was the home of Alexander Livingston, a renowned horticulturist in seed experimentation and propagation for tomatoes. Reynoldsburg City School has six elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior highs, and one high school; the district has a rating of excellent. Reynoldsburg is just east of Columbus and neighbors Pickerington, Blacklick Estates, Gahanna, and Whitehall.

 

Upper Arlington Real Estate

Upper Arlington, Ohio, located in Franklin County, borders Columbus, Marble Cliff and Grandview Heights. Additionally, Upper Arlington shares a border with the Scioto River and is near the Olentangy River. Upper Arlington has a population of over 33,600 residents according to the 2000 census. Upper Arlington was a purposely designed community and reminiscent of a park with tree-lined, curving streets. Upper Arlington’s children are serviced by the Upper Arlington City School District. The schools in Upper Arlington rank incredibly well in terms of studies, athletics, and performance arts. Upper Arlington has 33 public parks, including Thompson, Fancyburg, and Northam. The parks offer athletic fields and facilities.
